Mughlai Mushroom Malai is one of my favorite recipes that uses basic Mughlai masalas such as coriander powder, garam masala and kasuri. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into half heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and fry till golden brown. Malai Mushroom is a delicious Indian recipe served as a Side-Dish.

Instructions to make Malai Mushroom:
  1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in Kadhai on medium low flame. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida. After then add chopped onions and garlic and stir.
  2. Add bay leaves and green chillies and stir. Then Tomato paste and ginger garlic paste. Mix well.
  3. Add little bit of salt and cover the lid (should be on Low flame).
  4. Start adding all the masalas and salt too. Stir and add 1/2 cup of water. Then add chopped mushrooms.
  5. Add Kasoori methi and diced onions. Mix well.
  6. Add 1 or 2 tbsp of malai and mix. Cover it with lid for a minute on low flame and then turn off the flame.
  7. After 2-3 minutes, open the lid. Your Delicious Malai Mushrooms are ready. Drizzle little malai on sabji while serving. Serve hot with Naan, Roti or Steamed Rice.
