  21. Prepare 1 tsp Punjabi Chole Masala
  22. Prepare 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  23. Make ready 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

  1. Soak Chole for whole night (7-8 hours) after Choles are doubled in size, we will cook it in pressure cooker with 6-7 Whistles, add pinch of soda and salt to it. Let it cool down naturally and then open it.
  2. Take another vessel and add Onions, Tomatos, Green Chilli, Garlic, Ginger. Cook these too in pressure cooker. Let these cool and then paste by using mixer. Also grind Cashews, Poppy seeds, Melon seeds, Nutmeg, Cardamom.
  3. Take a pan, add oil & Butter. Add Onion paste (created in previous step), Turmeric, Salt and saute them on medium flame till leave oil. Now add Garam & Chole Masala, Chilli powder, Coriander powder and mix well.
  4. Now add cooked Chole and mix it. Now add Yogart & Water to it. Mix well. After two min. add Cashew powder (made in previous step), Milk and Jaggery. Let this cook, if needed add water as per your requirements, after 2-3 min. add Kasuri Methi, Butter and Coriander leaves and mix it.
  5. Now it's ready…!!! Serve Chole Masala with Onions, Lemon & garnish with Coriander leaves.
