Instructions to make Palak Chole:
- Soak chole overnight. Wash in the morning and presssure cook it by adding water.Strain the water and keep aside.
- Blanch the palak in boiling water for 7-8 mins. Remove it and keep in cold water to retain its colour. Strain the water and grind the leaves and keep aside.
- In a grinder take chopped onions, tomatoes, garlic and ginger and make a smooth paste.
- In a kadai take oil and add jeera and bay leaf. As it crackles add onion tomato puree.
- Add red chilli powder, half powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well. Let it cook till oil separates.
- Then add boiled chole to the masala.Add little water of boiled chole.Give it a boil.
- Then add palak puree.Mix it well.
- Add salt to taste and add little water and let it cook till gravy thickens. While serving add 1 tbsp of ghee.Serve with roti or naan.
