  1. Firstly, heat a pan. saute chana dal to light golden brown.add dried red chilli.
  2. Saute well till the chillis turn crisp.
  3. Take a bowl add this dal and chilis add water soak 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Now transfer to the blender. - blend to smooth paste adding water as required.
  5. Now take a pan heat oil and tempering mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves add red paste. Add salt and red chilli powder mix well.
  6. Red chutney is ready to serve with dosa.
