The pulao is, of course, one of the oldest dishes that seem to have existed through large parts of the world, particularly in central Asia.   1. Soak the rice for half an hour and cook it and drain and keep it aside
  2. Add ghee and oil to the deep pan
  3. Add cumin and ginger chilli garlic paste to it.
  4. Saute a little and add onions
  5. Saute till brown, add vegetables. Saute them till the capsicum is little cooked
  6. Add Biryani masala to cut and mux it well.
  7. Add curd to the pan and stir till the oil seperates
  8. Add palak puree and stir well
  9. Add salt and add rice. You can layer them in handi as we do in authentic Biryani style
  10. Add water or milk if the grain is dry.
  11. Sprinkle spring onion leaves
  12. Serve hot with raita
