- Take rice and dal in a bowl and wash it well. Soak them in water for four hours.

- Sugar syrup- Take a pan and add 1.5 cup of sugar and 3/4 cup of water. Boil them till they reach one thread consistency. Switch off and keep it aside. Then add few drops of lemon in order to maintain consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan. Take some dough in your hand and slowly drop the dough in small batches.
- When it gets fried, remove them and add it to the sugar syrup. Let them soak. The sugar balls will drink up all the syrup.
- Let it soak for five minutes and drain it. Store them in an air-tight container and enjoy it for a week.
- Notes: The dough should be thick so add very little water while grinding.
