Super delicious and healthy millets pongal which taste really yummy. An alternative for your regular pongal. Try this millet one for this pongal.
Instructions to make Varagu Pongal with Fresh Fruits / Kodo Millet Fruits Pongal:
- Wash varagu arisi thoroughly 4 times and keep aside. - Wash moong dal and keep aside. - Boil milk and water.. In a cooker or cooker pan, dry roast moong dal till golden brown and a nice aroma comes.

- Notes : Varagu arisi contains a lot of impurities, so make sure you wash it at least 4 times. - If you like the fruits crunchy then add them at the end. - If you want the apples a little tender then sauté for 2 minutes and add them to the pongal. - Do not sauté banana and orange.
Since pongal is around the corner, i was thinking what new pongal to make for this year. I had little kodo millet sitting in the pantry for quite sometime. Millet's provides so many health benefits to us compared to regular rice. Hence we can replace rice with Millet's wherever possible. I have used Varagu (Kodo millet) to make this Pongal.
