- Add tomato & mirchi
- Add 2.5 small glasses of water. Let it boil on high flame
- Reduce flame and add upma rava into pan & stir thoroughly on high flame
- Keep a plate on it, and let it cook on low flame for 10-15 mins.
- Before last 5 mins, open the plate and stir upma except for the bottom layer
- After switching off stove, keep the pan intact for 5 mins to let it settle (for maadu)
