- In a pressure cooker heat ghee add bay leaf, cloves and cardamom. Saute for a minute now add cumin seeds and saute again. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away.
- Put chopped onions in it and saute till onion gets translucent. Put chopped tomatoes and saute till oil oozing from the sides.
- Now add chana masala, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
- Now add boiled chana in it mix well. Put lemon juice and ½ cup water in it and cover it. Cook it on low flame. Stir well.
- When water evaporates add rice and mix well. Saute for a while and add 6 cup of water.
- Take a whistle on high flame and turn off the gas. Delicious and healthy kala chana pulao is ready to serve.
- Note–Don't throw boiled chana water, use that for pulao
