  5. Turn of the flame and add yoghurt. Note: never add milk or yoghurt while cooking on flame.
  6. Turn on the flame and add little water and allow to cook.
  7. Meanwhile boil water and add soaked rice. To this add salt, bay leaf, lemon juice or oil. Do not over cook rice. Strain when it's half cooked.
  8. Add a layer of rice, vegetable gravy, rice, vegetable gravy and again rice. Garnish with fried onions, mint leaves and pour the safforn mixture on the top. Cook on low flame. Your delicious veg pulao is ready to serve.
