  8. Take 1/4 tsp ginger paste,

I have tasted paneer pulao couple of times in restaurants which was less spicy with mild flavours, since then I wanted to recreate the version and this one came close to what I expected 🙂. Paneer Pulao is an exotic rice dish, super easy to make and tastes delicious. This is a great side dish for get-togethers. Paneer Pulao goes well with yogurt or soup.

Steps to make Paneer Pulao:
  1. First strain the rice, keep aside.
  2. Fry aloo pcs till golden brown, keep aside.
  3. Now take a heavy bottom wok, add oil & butter, heat it.
  4. Add whole garam masala, sauté it for a while. Add sliced onion, stir fry it till pink.
  5. Add paneer pcs, fry it till it becomes light brown.
  6. Now add salt & rice, lower the flame, stir fry it gently.
  7. Add ginger garlic paste, stir it nicely till rice grains aur separated.
  8. Sprinkle the pepper powder,
  9. Now add water accordingly, give a gentle stir, increase the flame, give a boil.
  10. Cover it with the lid, cook it at low flame. Do not stir.
  11. Let it be for 10 minutes. Rice will be cooked nicely. Open the lid after 10 minutes.
  12. Take out in a serving dish, garnish it with onion browns (optional).
  13. Serve it with any meal.

This is also a satisfying lunch box meal. The paneer pulao can be made with onions and garlic to give a flavourful aroma and taste; however The no-onion-no-garlic paneer pulao dish is simple and quick to make and is the perfect recipe to opt. I know I am going to post paneer pulao one day or the other. Once I tried a version in which I cook paneer together, but ended up in rubbery paneer. It will be soft until its cools down.
