This veg pulao is with my simple homemade pulao masala. All we need to do is roast the spices quickly and grind it coarsely. You can use it for other curries and gravies instead. Vegetable pulao is a simple rice recipe that combines rice and mixed vegetables such as potatoes Veg Pulao Recipe.

Steps to make Boiled veg pulao:
  1. In a pan add washed rice, black pepper, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, cloves, salt and water double of quantity of rice, so that rice is soaked well in it. On medium flame cook for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Once rice is cooked properly drain the water well.
  3. Now for veggies, in a pan add peas, soya chunks, chopped carrot, chopped french beans, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper, broccoli and add water to soak them completely. And boil them at medium flame for around 8-10 minutes, untill they are cooked.
  4. Now drain the water completely.
  5. Now mix rice and veggies well. For additive color I used saffron yellow color. Mix this edible color in one cup boiled rice and mix well. Now add veggies and this colored rice into boiled rice pan and mix well. Pulao it ready to serve. Squeeze lemon juice 1 tbsp on top of this pulao.
