  1. Soak daal and rice in water separately for 20mins.
  2. Heat oil in a wok. Add onion and fry it until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and crushed green chilli.
  3. Add daal and cook it add 1 cup water and salt and dry spices fry it. Then cover it for 10 mins so that daal become soft.
  4. Add 6 cups water, let it boil for 5mins more.
  5. Then add strained rice init. Let it cook on low heat for 10mins.
