- Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1 tsp oil to flour and mix well. Then knead it using water to make soft dough. Keep aside for half hour.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan. Add chopped ginger and garlic and sauté it for a minute. You can even use ginger garlic paste.
- Add onions, capsicum. Cook them for few minutes.(I have also added green chillies for extra spice.)
- Add salt and black pepper. And finally add crumbled paneer to it. Cook it till stuffing comes together.
- Now to prepare momos take a small portion of dough and roll it flat in a small circle. Place a spoon full of prepared stuffing in it and start pleating. Prepare momos in same way for rest of dough.
- Place them in a steamer for 15-20 min. I have used an Kadhai and a plate with small pores to steam as I don’t have a steamer. To do so, simply put 1.5 to 2 cup of water in kadhai and place bowl in inverted position. Now on top of it place the plate with momos. Cover it with lid.
- Finally serve then with schezwan sauce and mayonnaise.
I have successfully made veg momos with whole wheat flour many times before. So I knew that would work well.
