The ingredients needed to make Instant ragi idli:
  1. Get 1 small bowl ragi flour
  2. Prepare 1 small bowl semolina
  3. Get 1 small bowl sour curd
  4. Prepare 1/2 glass water (as required)

  6. Take for tempering–
  7. Get 1.5 tsp mustard seeds
  8. Get 1.5 tbsp mustard oil
  9. Make ready 1 tsp grate ginger
  10. Prepare 1 finely chopped green chilli
  11. Make ready 1 tsp fruit salt (eno)
  12. Make ready Half lemon juice
  13. Make ready 2 carrot grate
  14. Take for decoration–
  15. Get 1 tbsp strawberry jam
  16. Get some cheddar cheese
  17. Prepare 2 thin slices of cucumbers
  18. Get 3 tbsp grated carrots

Instant Ragi Idli is just like Rava Idli. Semolina or Suji is soaked in yogurt and ragi flour is added to this mixture. There is no need for fermentation in this recipe and it can be made instantly. Remove on a plate and cool completely.

Instructions to make Instant ragi idli:
  1. In to a mixing bowl put ragi flour, curd,salt to taste, and semolina mix with spatula add little by little some water make smooth consistency batter.
  2. Now cover and rest it for 15 minutes keep it aside.
  3. Heat the tadka pan with 1tbsp oil add mustard seeds spatula add some curry leaves stir few seconds add grated carrots stir fry 40 seconds on high flame. Now turn off the heat and pour the tdka prepared mixture,ginger and green chili mix it properly keep it aside.
  4. Heat the kadai with a 2 cup of water keep the stand. And gress the idli stand with remaining oil.
  5. Now add the eno,lemon juice in the prepared batter mix with spatula and pour the batter immediately in the greased mould and keep the mould on the stand kept in kadai.
  6. And cover and cook on medium flame for it12 min.
  7. Check with toothpick if in come out clean it's done.
  8. Same process make these all idlies and turn off the flame.
  9. When cool down demould and transfer them on a plate
  10. Now make the eyes and lip portion with strawberries jam hair with grated carrot, eyebrows with cheddar cheese, and leg portion with cucumber slices. Now it is done
  11. You can enjoy it with sambhr and coconut chutney.
