Instructions to make Dalia Upma:
- Dry roast dalia- broken wheat on slow flame till pinkish in colour. On other gas boil 2 cups water.
- In nonstick pressure pan cooker, add heat oil. Add urad dal, cashewnuts and saute till pinkish,add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder,green chillies ginger paste. Add chopped vegetables,saute for 2 mins.
- Add roasted dalia-broken wheat,mix well. Add and mix salt and warm water. Cook for 3 whistles. Open the cooker after 5 mins. Mix with spoon add sugar powder, lemon juice and finely chopped tomato pieces.
- Take a round bowl,fill prepared dalia upma upto it's brim. Unmould it on serving plate. Arrange few fried cashewnuts on top. Serve/ Relish hot Dalia Upma as Healthy Breakfast with tea or coffee for complete meal.
