- Prepare 2 tb spn oil

- Prepare Kala masala / garam masala 1/2 t spn
- Take Salt, sugar as per taste
- Make ready 1/4 cup crushed roasted gram dal
- Take 1 t b spn green coriander leaves

Steps to make Susla / Pori Upma:
- Wash puffed rice and Keep it in strainer. Drain the excess water through the strainer.
- Heat oil in kadhai and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and Asafoetida in it. Add peanuts in it and saute it till it turns golden brown. Then add chopped onion in it and saute it. Add green chillies, Curreyleaves and chopped tomatoes in it and saute all together.
- Add turmeric powder,cumin - coriander powder, salt, sugar and garam masala in it.
- Add puffed rice, and roasted gram dal powder in it, mix it well.
- Cover with lid and cook it for 3-4 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot.
It is extremely soft and spongy in texture. I have a Indian friend and have always looked for a Upma recipe that comes close to his! Pasi Payaru Upma made with moong dal. This is a very unique recipe for upma made entirely with moong dal. Its very healthy and very easy to make.
