- Get White rice negligible amount depends on number of servings

Moi moi leaves are a broad papery leaf, similar to banana leaves that are able to hold the blended beans while they cook. I remember moi moi also being made in small tins as well, but the moin moin made in the leaves, locally called moi moi elewe, always tasted the best. Moimoi or Moinmoin, also known as Steamed Bean Pudding is a Nigerian Beans Delicacy. Moimoi is made with either Brown Beans, Black Eyed Beans or Lentils.
Instructions to make While rice and leafy moimoi:
- In a clean pot cook the white rice and pasta with a pinch of salt to taste, pls take a note of the type of rice u are cooking ie amount of water to use so that it comes out soft and okay not mushy or gummy also adding pasta is optional it can be white rice only.
- Serve with any soup,stew or sauce of your choice but for dis is best with Tomatoe stew along side with the moimoi taaada!!!
Moimoi can be Hob or Oven steamed, though the hob steamed method is much more popular than the oven steamed Moimoi. While teaching her how to make moi moi with plates, I had to think of a way to incorporate the leafy moi moi flavour into the plate moi moi and that's how we lined the moi moi bowls with leaves. Very thankful that I thought of this because when the moi moi was cooked, the ones lined with leaves got rushed because the taste was exactly like. Oven Baked Moimoi is simply Moimoi baked in an oven as opposed to hob steaming. Moimoi is also known as Steamed Bean Pudding.
