- Take 1/2 cup Semolina
- Take 1/2 cup Curd
- Make ready 1 Onion finely chopped

- Get 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- Take 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- Make ready 1 tsp Ginger and green chilli paste
- Make ready 1 tsp Chat masala
Appe are usually made with dosa batter(fermented rice batter) which is indeed a time consuming. Now add chopped cauliflower, peas, chopped. Semolina Appam/Appe and Curry leaves chutney are ready to eat! Semolina is a coarse flour made from durum wheat, a hard type of wheat.
Instructions to make Semolina appe:
- Take a semolina in a big mixing bowl. Now add whisked curd to it. In the batter add all finely chopped vegetables and salt, chat masala and mix well. If the batter to the thick then add some water.
- Cover and keep the batter aside for 15 mins. batter is now ready. Now add baking soda and mix gently.
- Preheat an appam pan and pour little oil in it's each mold. Now add some mustard seeds to it. Now fill each mould with the batter.
- Cover and let them simmer for 2-3 mins on the low - medium flem. When the appams get golden brown turn the side and cook till the golden brown both side.
- Take out the appams in a plate and serve with chutney and tomato sauce.
