- Take 2 green chilli chopped
- Prepare 1 spoon grated ginger
- Take 1/2 spoon mustard seeds
- Take 6-7 curry leaves

- Take 2 spoon chopped coriander leaves
- Make ready 1 spoon oil

- Take 1 cup gram flour

- Get as needed Oil for frying

Instructions to make Batata vada:
- Heat one spoon oil in a pan put mustard seeds, green chilli,curry leaves and ginger, saute for few seconds.
- Add salt, turmeric and mashed potatoes, mix well then add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
- In a mixing bowl put gramflour, salt, turmeric and baking soda. Add little water and make a batter without any lumlps.
- Now make equal size 8-9 balls from potatoes mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan and dip each ball into the batter and slowly slide in the hot oil and deep fry till golden brown.
- Serve hot with chutney.
