- Take a container add turad Dal wash it nicely and take a press cooker add turad Dal & water boil it 3whistles.
- Take a pan add oil heat it Cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste,onion, coconut,tomato fry it well & grind it fine paste.
- In same pan add oil heat it add mustard seeds,Cumin seeds, hing, onion,girnded paste of onion tomato coconut paste fry it & add turad Dal, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder,Cumin coriander powder, brown sugar (file) add & fry it well & add water boil it nicely.
Saute until dal turns golden brown. Switch off the flame, add grated coconut and saute the coconut in the heat of the pan itself. The Kerala Sambhar is a rich and flavourful version, which is made of toovar dal and mixed vegetables like brinjal, ladies finger and red pumpkin, laced with tamarind and flavoured with a spicy.
