- In a wok dry roast rava semolina
- Other side on the flame keep pan add ghee when hot add both the dal and stir it till golden now add mustard seeds and curry leaves let them splatter
- Now add tomato puree and cook till for 5/6 minutes water from tomato will dry up little now add salt red chilli powder and sambhar masala stir it mix it well
- Now in it add roasted rava and give nice stir add double of the quantity of mixture stir it if required add little more water and lemon juice as rava absorbs more water
- Before you switch off the flame see the consistency should not be very dry it should be little loose as in 10/15 minutes it will become dry so
- Serve with pickle or coconut chutney we do love it to ear with pickle choice is yours quick light and healthy 🌹
Tomato Upma: -Tomato upma can be a good breakfast which is perfect as one pot meal. This is another variation of normal upma with added tomatoes which give tangy taste and is tasty. Tomatoes added to the regular rava upma takes it to next level. At times, my dad ask my mom to add tomato or lemon to the regular rava upma as he likes that tanginess in rava upma. I have not tried as I just like my plain upma and want the original taste.
