  2. Get 2 cup udad daal
  3. Prepare 1 tsp grated ginger

  7. Get 1 green chilli chopped
  8. Get as needed oil for frying vada

  13. Take 2 tomato chopped
  14. Make ready 1 cup bottle gourd Chopped
  15. Get 1 green chilli chopped

  17. Prepare as needed curry leaves
  18. Prepare 1/4 tsp methi seeds
  19. Prepare 1 tsp mustard seeds
  20. Take 1/2 tsp jeera(cumin seeds)
  21. Get 1/4 tsp Hing(asafoetida)
  22. Prepare 1/2 cup tamarind water
  23. Get 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  24. Prepare 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  25. Prepare 1/4 tsp haldi (Turmeric)powder
  26. Prepare 1 tsp sambar powder
  27. Take 4 tsp oil
  28. Prepare as needed coriander leaves

Sambar vadai is urad dal vadai, soaked in mild and flavourful sambar. I recently only developed taste for After their chutneys, I like their sambar vada. I have it often but the best sambar vada here in. It is popular in South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines.

Steps to make Sambar Vada:
  1. Soak the udad daal overnight and wash and grind it in mixie and add all the masala and keep aside for 10 minutes
  2. In kadai heat the oil and take the batter in your ✋ apply some water and give the round shape for vada and cook in the oil fry the vada for upper side and flip the vada till the brown colour will appears cook in the low flame.. and take out the vada from oil and keep aside
  3. For sambar : soak Dal for 1 hour and in pressure cooker put tuvar dal can add two cups water and take 3 whistles in a pressure cooker and off the flame.
  4. In a pan put oil and heat it in add mustard seeds jeera methi seeds, dry chillies and FRI for few seconds
  5. Then add onion and Fry for 1 minute then add tomato Lauki and fry for 2 minutes then add all the dry masala and cook for the tomatoes will be soft and add tamarind pulp and there will be come boil then you can add cooked dal and add how much you need water you can add it and cook for 10 minutes. and add coriander leaves..sambar is ready.
  6. In a plate put the vada then add Sambhar from vada and garnish with onion and coriander leaves.serve hot..And serve with onion chutney and coconut chutney..

Sambar Vada - Crispy medhu vadas soaked in piping hot sambar topped with chopped onions and a drizzle of ghee makes this popular restaurant dish very appetizing.
