- Get 1 tbsp coriander leaves

Instructions to make Onion Tomato Upma:
- Take a pan & roast semolina (rava) for 5 min on low flame. Once done keep it aside.
- Boil 1/2 glass of water
- In a pan take oil, once hot add mustard seeds, after they start crackling, add cumin seeds, chopped green chilli and curry leaves. Give one mix
- Now add chopped onion, saute them till they are translucent.
- Next goes in chopped tomatoes, saute for 2-3 mins.
- Now add roasted semolina (rava) and mix now add salt to taste. Mix it again
- Next, slowly add the boiled water. Mix and cover the pan with a lid and keep it on low flame. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Keep stirring in between.
- Add chopped coriander leaves
- Put the flame off. Serve after 2 mins.
I make it very rarely to avoid semolina, so when I make, I want it. Onion tomato chutney is a simple chutney to be served with idli, dosa, upma, etc. This Onion Tomato Chutney is spicy, mildly sweet, and is a great side dish for Idli, especially Rava Idli, and Dosa.
